Mr. Brad Sikes

Hello! My name is Brad Sikes and I am a member of the counseling team at MBMS. Middle school is a time of growth, challenge, and transition, and I am excited to serve in this role. I began my career in 1996 teaching middle school science and math. Additional experience includes elementary teaching, school counseling (elementary and middle), and administration. I am an alumni of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and the University of Georgia. I have a bachelor's degree in health and physical education, a master's degree in middle school science, and a specialist degree in school counseling. I am committed to helping students succeed by supporting their academic, social, and emotional needs. I collaborate with teachers, families, and members of the community to promote positive growth and opportunities for student leadership. I am committed to a safe, motivating, and respectful learning community. My family has lived in Oconee County since 2011. My wife, Elizabeth, teaches fifth grade at Colham Ferry Elementary and we have two daughters at Oconee County Schools.

Our counseling team coordinates to deliver individual, small group, and classroom guidance. Additionally, we sponsor Student Council, Bolt Ambassadors, and the International Club. These organizations promote leadership and learning through a variety of school and community activities. If you have questions about these organizations or if your middle schooler needs additional support, please reach out anytime. Go Bolts!
