Rachel Whiten
My name is Rachel Whiten and I am so excited to join Malcom Bridge Middle School this school year! This is my 6th year in school counseling and 5th year as a middle school counselor. I graduated with both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees from UGA, obtaining a Bachelor's in Psychology and Human Development and later a Master's in Professional Counseling with an emphasis in School Counseling. After graduating with my School Counseling degree, I became a school counselor at Hart County Middle School from 2018-2022. I then transitioned into Elementary School Counseling in 2022 and worked at West Jackson Elementary School. In 2021, I also became a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor and am expected to complete my hours and become fully licensed by the end of the 2023-24 School Year. Currently, I am both a School Counselor and LAPC therapist in the Athens area.
I am a Bogart resident and live here with my husband, daughter, and our precious dog. I enjoy hiking, eating, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. I am excited to provide a comprehensive, data-driven counseling program that helps all students be successful academically as well as personally and professionally. Go Bolts!
