Christie Glaze

Christie Glaze is the Early Childhood Education teacher at Oconee County High School, with a passion for teaching since 2007. She is a 2005 graduate of the University of Georgia with a bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Sciences. Throughout her career, she has taught various FACS courses, including child development, culinary arts, nutrition and food science, resource management, housing and interiors, and early childhood education. In 2023, she achieved her master's degree in Instructional Technology from Kennesaw State University and was awarded the Georgia Association of Family and Consumer Sciences Teacher of the Year.  Beyond the classroom, Ms. Glaze actively facilitates internships for her students with local elementary schools and preschools, fostering hands-on experiences.  As the FCCLA adviser, she empowers students to become proactive leaders and engage in community service. In addition to work, Ms. Glaze loves to hike, travel, experiment with new recipes and spend quality time with her family and friends.
