Mrs. Cara Novak
I teach High School Physical Science and Honors High School Physical Science at Oconee County Middle School in the 8th grade. I am beyond grateful to be an educator in the school system I attended as a child. I was born and raised in Oconee County, just down the road from Oconee County High School. I am a wife and a mother to three beautiful little girls who also attend school in Oconee County and are very active in the community. My husband, Dave, is a Captain at the City of Monroe Fire Department and volunteers with Oconee County Volunteer Fire Department.
I have been teaching since 2022. I previously taught Life Science in another neighboring county. While my teaching career is rather new, I have been in the science and agricultural fields since college. I previously worked with the University of Georgia on their Research Dairy Farm in Tifton, Georgia. I am passionate about science and agriculture and strive to instill that in all of my students. I have multiple degrees and certifications that aid in my knowledge of scientific topics as well and continue to educate myself in the field.
I am so proud to be part of this school system and grateful for the opportunity to teach your children.
