My name is Emilee Newsome, and I am beyond excited to be a Rocky Branch Rocket! I am originally from Dublin, Georgia, but have loved calling Athens home since attending the University of Georgia - Go Dawgs! I have obtained both my Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Elementary Education from UGA as well as my Gifted Endorsement. When I'm not in the classroom, you can find me cheering on the dawgs in Sanford Stadium and the Braves in Truist Park.

It is an absolute honor and joy to be a part of your child's education. My goal is for each student to feel seen, known and valued in my classroom each and every day. I cannot wait to work with you and your first grader this year. It's going to be the best year yet! Go Rockets!
