Mrs. Amy Frutiger
Amy Frutiger joined the Career, Technical, Agricultural and Education team at Oconee County High School in the fall of 1999 to develop the Marketing Education program and the student organization, DECA. In addition, Amy coordinated students participating in Marketing Cooperative work experiences (currently known as Work-Based Learning.) Under her direction, the Marketing Education program met industry standards to obtain Industry Certification as an exemplary program in 2001 and re-certified in 2006. DECA maintained gold levels of student membership with State and National competition success annually.
Prior to her arrival, Amy played a similar role as the Marketing Education Coordinator and DECA Advisor for Barrow County Schools, 1994-1999. She obtained Industry Certification for the Marketing Education program at Winder-Barrow High School in 1996.
During the 2010-2011 school year, Amy began serving her current position as the Work-Based Learning Coordinator at North Oconee High School and Oconee County High School. She coordinates apprenticeships, internships and cooperative work experiences for 11th and 12th grade students with a career focus. She holds Work-Based Learning certification.
Amy is a professional and active member of the Association of Career & Technical Education (ACTE), the Georgia Association of Career & Technical Education (GACTE), Professional Association of Educators (PAGE), and the Northeast Region for Work-Based Learning. She has been serving Career, Technical, Agricultural and Education students for 27 years.
