Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Jenna Cantin

My family moved to Suwanee, Georgia from West Des Moines, Iowa, in 1988.  I grew up in Gwinnett County and graduated from Collins Hill High School in 2003.

In 2007, I graduated from Kennesaw State University with a degree in Middle Grades Education with specialties in Language Arts, Reading, and Social Studies.  I also have a Master's Degree from Walden University in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment and an Educational Specialist degree from Brenau University in Middle School Ed.  I began teaching in 2007 at Lanier Middle School in Buford, Georgia in Gwinnett County.  There I taught 6th grade Language Arts. In 2010, I moved to Grayson, Georgia, also in Gwinnett County, to help open Bay Creek Middle School.  At Bay Creek I taught 6th and 7th grade Language Arts and Social Studies and earned my Gifted endorsement.  I came to Oconee County Middle School in 2014.  Here I have taught 6th grade Advanced Language Arts and Social Studies.

I married my husband, Matthew in 2007, and we have lived here in Oconee County in 2013.  We welcomed our first child, Preston, in 2009; our second child, Maisie, in 2011; and our third child, Rhett, in 2020.  Preston and Maisie are students in Oconee County, and Rhett eventually will be.

We love this community and its small town feel. I love working in this school system and I am thrilled to be a part of the OCMS family.
