I grew up in south Georgia and played school a lot.  My first teaching experience came when I was an eighth grade student.  During that year many of my teachers had us teach our classes as a project.  At the time my teacher commented that I should really consider teaching as a profession because he saw me as a "natural".   I attended the University of Georgia to obtain both my Bachelor of Science and Masters degrees in middle grades mathematics and science.  I bleed red and black! 

I began my teaching career here at Oconee Middle School in 2001 directly after my student teaching.  I currently teach 6th grade Earth Science.  I am thankful to have spent my entire career in Oconee County Middle School.   I am thankful to teach wonderful students and being surrounded by a fabulous school family.   

I am happily married, and my own daughter is in this school system.  I am happy to be involved in this school and in this community, both as a parent and as an educator.
