Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. EmilyAnn Williams
Hello, my name is EmilyAnn Williams and I'm ecstatic to be teaching your child! I have been teaching since 2019, and truly love every aspect of educating kids. I graduated from San Diego State University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in hospitality business and had a career in event planning for many years in Southern California. After working internationally, as a long-term humanitarian volunteer, I made the decision to go back to school. In 2017, I pursued a certification and a master’s degree in the art of teaching from the University of Georgia. Go Dawgs! I also earned my gifted education endorsement in 2018. I have spent my educational career teaching 2nd grade, but look forward to moving up to 5th grade to teach my passion of writing and language arts full time.
My teaching philosophy is to create a positive and welcoming environment that encourages growth and kindness. I believe that when children feel comfortable to be their true selves, they will then be free to develop intellectually. My goal is for every child to feel accepted and set up for success, so that they can achieve academic growth.
I live in Watkinsville with my husband Chris, our son Forrest and our two dogs; Hemingway and Tater Tot. In my free time I enjoy hiking, traveling and spending time with my family.
