Although I've been a Little Chief for many years, I can say that I really am just as excited as ever to begin a new school year. I’m so happy to have the opportunity to teach Reading, Writing, and ELA in second grade. I believe second grade is a perfect age for learning to love these subjects. My goal is to guide my students to embrace this special time in their childhood while helping them stretch their brains to the fullest! I’m passionate about how reading and writing can be instrumental in making this happen. OCPS is a family, second grade is a family, and our classroom is a family, and I wouldn't want it any other way. 

My family made Watkinsville our home 25 years ago and we love our community.  My husband, Steve, is an engineer in Watkinsville. My two children are both former OCPS students and OCS graduates. My son recently graduated from Appalachian State and my daughter is a student at Berry College.
