Kelly Maffeo is currently an assistant principal at Oconee County High School.  She began teaching in August of 2000 at Collins Hill High School in Suwanee, Georgia.  During her 15 years at Collins Hill, Kelly worked with various levels of 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students and was very involved with curriculum development for their technical language arts program as well as their summer reading initiative.  In 2015, Kelly moved to Oconee County High School, her alma mater.  She is thrilled to be teaching in the same classroom in which she experienced her own 9th and 10th grade English classes so many years ago.

Kelly loves working with teens.  She is especially passionate about young adult literature and looks forward to recommending new books to anyone who will listen.  Kelly and her husband Robert have two children, Ella Grace and Mason.
