My name is Lauren Lee and I am from Hartwell, Georgia, where I worked as a school counselor for five years. This is my fourth year as the school counselor at Colham Ferry. I graduated from The University of Georgia with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and a Master’s and Educational Specialist degrees in Professional School Counseling.

I believe every student has the right to be served by the school counselor and it is our job to remove barriers to academic achievement.  Counseling services at Colham Ferry consist of classroom lessons, small groups, and individual sessions.  The topics for counseling services will include character education, bullying awareness, peer pressure, self-esteem issues, anxiety, friendship, careers, and other skills needed for academic success. All counseling is confidential, except if it is in the child’s best interest for me to disclose to the appropriate personnel. A successful school counseling program involves a cooperative effort between parents, teachers, administrators, and the counselor.  I am happy to discuss any questions or concerns you may have as I work with your child so you may best help him/her at home.
