I am thrilled to be the new principal of Rocky Branch Elementary School. This amazing school holds a special place in my heart. I am honored to continue the path which began 15 years ago as RBES opened with the noble goal of being “an extraordinary school." With the hard work and contributions of faculty and staff who are committed to excellence, outstanding families, and a community of the highest-caliber, that goal has certainly been achieved.

In 2006, my family and I moved to Oconee County, and I taught at Oconee Elementary for two years before I had the privilege of becoming the Assistant Principal at RBES in 2009.  My journey in education began in Greene County where I grew up and worked for 12 years.  My rewarding career there included teaching special education and being an Instructional Lead Teacher.

My mission as principal is to make all decisions with the needs of students first. I will strive to make school a positive, safe, and fun place for students to learn and grow. The faculty and staff at RBES are exceptional, and I am proud to work alongside such a dedicated group of professionals.  However, here at RBES, we recognize that when our efforts are coupled with support at home, students have their best opportunity to excel and reach their full potential. As parents, you are an integral part of the education of your children, and we welcome you! I encourage you to stay involved, volunteer, and be a part of our school community.  In a collaborative effort, we want all children to thrive and excel.  We want to make sure communication is two-way, and we are here to answer any questions you may have. Join us this year as we truly Recognize the Brilliance in Every Student!
