Myriah Richerson

Myriah Richerson graduated from UNC-Asheville with a B.S. in Environmenal Science and Ecological Studies. During her undergraduate studies she also worked as an environmental educator, watershed protection technician, AmeriCorps science volunteer, and conducted biological studies at Chimney Rock, NC.  Upon graduating, Myriah moved to Gainesville, FL, where she worked as a biologist for the U.S. Geological Survey.  It was then she felt led to pursue teaching.  Myriah completed her teacher certification and M.A. in Teaching and moved to Gainesville, GA, as a 7th grade life science teacher.  Myriah taught middle school for 10 years before moving to the high school level where she has taught Honors Chemistry, Enviromental Science, and Biology.  Myriah was Teacher of the Year in 2014 at West Hall Middle School.  She has a passion for teaching science and is proud to work with Oconee County High School's youth.  Myriah is joining Oconee County High School this year and is excited to be a part of the OCHS community!
