My name is Sandra Dukes, and I have been working at Malcom Bridge Elementary School since 2006 as a P.E. Paraprofessional for fifteen years and as a second grade paraprofessional since 2020.  My first job out of graduate school was with St. Mary’s Hospital in Adult Fitness and Cardiac Rehabilitation for eight years. I quit working to be a stay-at home mom until my children went to school. When my youngest daughter started kindergarten, I became a certified P.E. teacher, but chose to accept the paraprofessional job to stay in the school system with my girls.

My husband, Russ, is the Fire Safety Manager at UGA, and we have three daughters.  Amanda is a Literature and Journalism teacher at NOHS, Carolyn is a first grade paraprofessional at MBES, and Jennifer is the Sales Manager at The Hyatt Place in Athens.
