OCS #1 in Northeast GA for ACT achievement

Oconee County Schools has earned an average ACT composite score of 23.5 for the 2020 testing period, well above state and national averages. OCS achieved the highest ACT score in Northeast Georgia and is one of only two regional systems ranked in the state’s top 10.

“Congratulations to our recent graduates and current students for demonstrating sustained excellence once again,” said Superintendent Jason L. Branch. “These scores indicate both students’ academic excellence and preparedness to succeed in post-secondary experiences. I also want to commend their K-12 teachers and parents for the ongoing support they provide to our students.”

The ACT college readiness assessment is a standardized test for high school achievement and college admissions in the United States produced by ACT. Students are assessed in the areas of English, mathematics, reading, and science.
