North Oconee is excited to offer the “PreACT” test on Saturday morning, March 14. It is a practice test for the ACT which gives students a low-stress chance to try out this college admissions test option. This is NOT an official ACT and is designed for students in the 10th grade. We strongly recommend that all college-bound sophomores take this test as it will be useful in determining which standardized test (ACT or SAT) may be best for individual students to take in the college application process. Juniors who might have focused on the SAT and want to try out the ACT are welcome to sign up.
The cost for this test is $15. Checks made payable to “NOHS” will be accepted in the main office.
The test will be held at the high school in the field house. There are a maximum of 100 seats and students must have paid in advance. Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m. and the test will begin promptly at 7:45 a.m. Students who arrive late will not be allowed to take the test. Students will need to bring #2 pencils and a calculator. We WILL NOT provide calculators or batteries. Students generally finish between 11:15 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
