Mrs. Terri Thornton
Hi there- My name is Terri Thornton, and I teach 5th grade advanced content math, science, and social studies as well as a gifted resource segment. This year will be my 15th year teaching. My husband, Ashley, and I have three children- Hunter, Hudson, and Addilyn.
I graduated from Piedmont College in 2007 with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. I continued my learning and graduated in 2010 with a M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education with a specialization in Reading and Literacy. In 2012, I graduated from The University of Georgia with my Ed.S. and gifted endorsement.
Along the way, I have developed an even deeper passion for learning, leading, and teaching. I am so excited to share that passion with my students, and I am very excited to be a part of the Oconee County Elementary family!
